Adventure
Adventure films are almost always unrealistic and feature a fantasy of a character, usually a hero going out on a quest to obtain, achieve or prove something. There is usually an adversary or villain trying to either directly prevent the hero or beat the hero to whatever they are searching for. The ratings these films get are usually very low, PG or 12A and are widely watched by many, though they are very expensive to make and heavily rely on stars to market themselves.

Comedy
The comedy genre of films is very specific to its target audience and often finds it hard to distribute to a wider audience. It frequently features relatable characters in a relatable location, such as young adults on their way to a pub, with one or two hassles or obstacles in the way, and humour built around that scenario. It usually receives a low certificate but if it features slightly more mature content it may receive a 15 rating rather than the usual 12 or 12A.

Thriller
A thriller is a genre of film which gets the audience on the edge of their seat, anticipating action all of the time with a storyline designed to thrill the audience. There are many variations of thrillers, such as psychological thrillers. These films usually get higher ratings as they frequently contain graphic scenes and images and involve twists as well as heavily relying on the audience not predicting what will happen next, yet trying to figure out what it will be.
